Almost half of the world faces some type of mental disorder, dyslexia is just one of the disorders that we decided to focus on. We were inspired by the people who overcame everything and used their disorder as a superpower.
What it does
Our project provides informational content on Dyslexia. Our website gives resources, training sites, and information regarding this disorder. Our goal is to provide families with the resources to create a successful path for people with Dyslexia, it encourages people to look at this disorder as a superpower and not a disease.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many challenges, including creating the map, some of the activities, and some trouble with the code as well, but all of that apart we all feel very proud that overcame all those problems and created a beautiful website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The implementation of the entire project helped us realize the importance of collaboration and the dynamics of working in a team In every Hackathon, proper time management plays a crucial role that can become a determining factor for the overall progress; we understood the instrumentality of following the code of conduct and treating fellow developers with respect while learning and improving through their feedback.
What we learned
We learned a lot from this hackathon from time management, team working skills, the code itself, and also a lot of Dyslexia. We are very glad that we got so much out of this hackathon.
What's next for AlzDys
AlzDys at its core is to let everyone know that Dyslexia cannot stop them from being successful. We hope that in the future we provide inspiration and resources for many other disorders, as dyslexia is only one of them.
