About the Project: Abandoned Toy Wants To Play
This micro-drama explores the trauma of digital abandonment, framing the simple act of a child replacing her toy with a tablet as a slow-burning psychological horror. We used AI to construct a tragic emotional arc: pure love turning into monstrous obsession and ultimate fury.
Inspiration: The Terror of Being Forgotten
Our main inspiration was the stark contrast between the warm, analog love of childhood (the stuffed bear and car toy) and the cold, blue light of modern digital media (the tablet). We asked: What if an inanimate object’s only purpose is to be loved, and that love is abruptly taken away? The resulting transformation into a Monster Car is the logical, tragic consequence of neglect, designed to shock the audience while invoking sympathy for the villain.
How We Built the Project (AI Synergy)
The entire project relies on the synergistic power of multiple specialized AI tools to achieve cinematic complexity in a vertical format:
- Video Generation (Vidu AI): Vidu AI was crucial for generating the core visual symmetry of the child's room and, most critically, the explosive transformation sequence. This tool allowed us to achieve the necessary complex visual effects and dynamic camera movements.
- Sound & Music Generation (Suno & PixVerse):
- Suno: Used to generate the original BGM, specifically structuring the score to contrast the delicate music box opening, followed by a dramatic "Vacuum of Despair" (silence), and concluding with a chaotic final conflict.
- PixVerse: Crucially utilized for creating the non-linguistic, emotional character vocals for all featured characters. This involved generating the subtle auditory cues and expressive sounds that convey the full spectrum of emotions (from joy to dread) without relying on specific dialogue or narration.
- Editing & Structure (DaVinci Resolve / CapCut): We utilized traditional editing software to pace the micro-drama, ensuring the perfect timing for the "Absolute Dynamic Stop" (the moment of silence) and the rapid jump-scare timing of the climax.
What We Learned
We successfully learned how to master dynamic contrast in short-form video. The biggest lesson was using sound as a narrative device: the extreme suddenness of the silent "Vacuum of Despair" section (Scene 3/4) allowed the final monstrous roar ("WANT TO PLAY!") to land with maximum emotional and visceral impact, proving the viability of complex dramatic pacing in vertical media.
Challenges Faced
- Visual Consistency: Maintaining the consistent appearance of the car toy, the bear, and the environment across various AI generation inputs (especially during the gradual shift from day to dark lighting) required extensive prompting and refinement.
- Creative Focus: Ensuring the emotional core of the story remained clear despite the complexity of AI tool integration required constant attention to the narrative and character arcs.
