Currently throughout the United States, there is a shortage of qualified applications for STEM jobs. Every year there are about 180,000 new STEM jobs openings, thus proving that there is a need to have adept STEM skills. Sadly, there isn't enough awareness among students about STEM. In a statistic done by the Washington Post, 27% of high school students are not interested in STEM. Our company, STEM Corner, aims to provide high school students with an easy to use database that sorts out relevant opportunities for them. One specific feature is the ability to create and save a profile that can be used to further connect them to STEM events. Another key feature is the search filter that allows users to find events that match their abilities.
